US: Indian elected to Nevada district office

Washington, Nov 7: Indian-American Rajan Zed was elected unopposed in today's local elections to the district office in Nevada state.

Zed, a journalist in India before migrating to the US, was elected to the Office of the General Improvement District Trustee of Verdi TV District.

An active community leader, Zed is on the advisory board of the police chief of Reno in Nevada district.

He had also served on the editorial board of Teno Gazette newspaper and had been nominated for the Great Minds of the 21st Century by the American Biographical Institute.
