Engineering student commits suicide

Chennai, Nov 7: A-23 year old first year post-graduate engineering student of the Anna University allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in suburban Pazhavanthangal early today.

Police said the student, N Durkesh, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, was living with three other co-students. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

Acting on the information, police rushed to the spot and removed the body for post-martem. An investigation was underway, police added.
