Woman among two injured in south Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Two people including a woman were injured in a firing incident at Tral, about 35 km from here in south Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said.

They said militants attacked a security forces search party during a search operation at Tral this afternoon. Security forces also retaliated and in the encounter one Abdul Ahad and Ms Nahida were injured.

The injured were hospitalised.

However, locals alleged that security forces resorted to indiscriminate firing injuring two civilians.

Senior police and civil officials have rushed to the area.
