Two arrested with 1.25 kg heroin at Samba border area in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 6 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered 1.25 kg of heroin from their possession at Samba border area here last evening.

Official sources said acting on tip-off about the smuggling of narcotics, police deployed some cops to establish contact with the smugglers.

After four days of hectic efforts, the policemen established contact with the smugglers and finalised a deal to purchase heroin from them, the sources added.

The arrested smugglers have been identified as Vidya Lal hailing from Kishtwar, Doda and Kewal Kumar hailng from Billawar, Jammu.

Both have been booked under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
