Traders shut shops in Guwahati to protest killing
Guwahati, Nov 6 (UNI) Traders here today downed their shutters as a mark of protest against last night's twin blasts in the city, which left 13 dead.
The traders, responding to a call given by the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce, stayed away from opening their shop and business establishments.
One of the two bombs exploded at Fancy Bazar, the commercial hub of the entire Northeast.
The traders expressed concern as a bomb had never exploded in this commercial district of Asom.
To pacify the angry traders, both Asom Governor Lt Gen Ajay Singh and Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, cutting short his Delhi trip, visited the affected areas.
