Suzlon rising on global winds
Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Suzlon Energy Ltd (SEL), the wind turbine manufacturer, recently concluded a strategy meet of its global leadership team to formulate plans for its global business.
Suzlon's global Business Heads and Country Heads from Asia, Australia, Europe and North America met with top rungs of the company's managers from around the world to put forth and discuss business strategies, market entry plans and the overall strategy for the coming years.
Talking to reporters here today the Company's Chairman&Managing Director Tulsi Tanti said, ''This summit, dobbed 'Stimulus, was designed to bring all key decision makers in Suzlon together in one room to talk about strategies, plans and challenges we see in the years ahead. We aim to rank among the top three wind turbine manufacturers in the world and to achieve we are working to become a synchronized global orgnization.'' Meanwhile, the Company's CEO Per Horning Pedersen said, ''Over the past few years, Suzlon has gone from being an Indian wind energy player to a global industry major, ranking fifth in the world in 2005. This strategy meet was a significant and important for all key members of our global team to gather and chart our course for the coming years.'' Speaking on the meet the Company's Director International Business Development Girish Tanti said, ''India will always be a focus for us but the trend in the wind enegy business have been encouraging world over. Our interest and investment in several key markets have helped in creating a strong platform for global delivery, Suzlon has demonstrated near 100 per cent year on year growth over the past three years and the international wind enegy marketplace is key to our continued growth.''
