Israeli air strike kills 2 militants: Sources
Gaza, Nov 6: An Israeli air strike today killed two militants from the Islamic Hamas group in northern Gaza, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said, as Israel pressed ahead with a massive offensive.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army.
Palestinian witnesses said a missile struck a date tree near where several Hamas militants had been standing. Witnesses said the bodies of two of them were torn apart and charred.
They also said several other Palestinians were wounded in the strike, Israel's latest against militants since it began an offensive in Gaza in June soon after gunmen from the area abducted an Israeli soldier in a raid inside the Jewish state.
More than 320 Palestinians, about half of them civilians, have been killed since Israel's assault began.
The strike near the town of Jabalya, a militant stronghold from which gunmen have often fired rockets into Israel, also narrowly missed a nearby vehicle carrying a top leader from the Islamic Jihad militant group, a source within the group said.
