Six of family commits suicide

Shahdol, MP, Nov 6 (UNI) Six members of a family have committed suicide by consuming poison at Kotma in Annupur district, police said today.

Munna Rajak Malumada, who worked as a cook at Kalri guest house, gave poison to his mother, wife, two daughters and one son and later consumed the substance himself.

Before death, Munna's wife Kamla told a neighbour that her husband had fed her poison.

The bodies were sent for post-mortem. Munna's house was sealed.

The reason behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained.
