Scott wins Tour Championship by three shots
ATLANTA, Nov 5 (Reuters) Australian Adam Scott today survived a shaky finish before winning his first PGA Tour title of the year by three shots at the season-ending Tour Championship.
The world number four, three ahead overnight, bogeyed the par-four 16th before holing a 20-footer to save par on 17 on his way to a four-under-par 66 in the final round at East Lake Golf Club.
That left him on 11-under 269, ahead of second-placed Jim Furyk who shot a best-of-the-day 65.
American Joe Durant (67) was a further stroke back in third place at seven under with 2004 winner Retief Goosen alone in fourth at six under, also after a 67.
