Panini Sanskrit University at Ujjain
Bhopal, Nov 6 (UNI) A Sanskrit University, named after Maharshi Panini, will be set up at the temple town of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
A bill in this regard was introduced by Higher Education Minister Tukojirao Pawar in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.
A provision of Rs 647.36 lakh was also made in the second supplementary budget for the current fiscal now under the consideration of the Assembly.
The expenditure on setting up the university will be met from the funds to be received from the Government of India's Sanskrit development scheme, Finance Minister Raghavji said.
