New BSFI President felicitated

Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister M Satyanarayana Rao today led members of the Jubilee Hills International Centre here in felicitating newly-elected Billiard and Snookers' Federation of India President Capt. P V K Mohan.

Capt Mohan's election to the highest governing body in the country for cues sports was unanimous.

Also, this was the time a person outside West Bengal was elected to the post.

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Raj Thakur promised full support in promoting the game at district level as also in rural areas.

Accepting the felicitations, Capt Mohan said the BSFI, having conducted a tournament for school children in New Delhi, was ready to hold tourneys at the mandal and district level to spot and nurture young talent, a release from the State Billiards and Snookers Association said.

Capt Mohan said the Confederation of Indian Industry had pledged support to the BSFI. He thanked the State Government for coming forward to allot land in Hyderabad for the State Association for constructing a world class facility.
