Munde demands withdrawal of ban on sugar exports
Beed, Maharashtra, Nov 6 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde today demanded that the Centre withdraw the ban on sugar exports.
Talking to reporters here, he said farmers have been deprived of their earning due to the ban. He advised the activists of the Shetkari Sanghatana to demand a hike in prices of sugarcane from the Democratic Front government.
Mr Munde, who is the party's leader in the State Legislative Assembly, was here in connection with the election of the party's district chief.
He alleged that the Congres led DF government in the state had failed on all fronts during its two year tenure. The Government has also failed in fulfilling the assurances it had made during the election campaign, he alleged.
Mr R T Deshmukh was re-elected BJP's Beed district chief in the presence of Mr Munde, who hails from the district.
