Modi returns from China visit

Ahmedabad, Nov 6 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who led a business delegation to China on a six-day tour is now headed home.

On the last day of the tour, Mr Modi and his delegation visited the high-tech wind energy and clean energy plant of the Suzlon company in Tianjen province, according to a release issued here today.

Mr Modi later met Tianjen's Authority director and had a fruitful discussion over establishing a long-term economic ties with Tianjen, the release informs.

He also met the vice-governor of Saiyun province who expressed a desire to establish long-term relations with Gujarat and has also invited Mr Modi to attend the Chinese festival being hosted by Saiyun province in May 2007.

Mr Modi and his delegation completed the six-day tour of China and left for home yesterday, the release added.
