Married woman burnt alive

Raisen, MP, Nov 6 (UNI) A recently-married 22-year-old woman was burnt alive today in this district's Chilwaha village.

''Satyawati Sen was found dead in suspicious circumstances in a house at 1100 hrs. Bloodstains were observed near the corpse. The victim's mother-in-law and elder sister-in-law were at home at the time of the incident,'' Superintendent of Police Vijay Suryavanshi told UNI.

The woman's relatives alleged that her in-laws murdered her as they were constantly harassing her since certain rituals were not performed after the birth of her son two months back. Satyawati was married two years back and harassment for dowry is also suspected to be a motive.
