Mariyamma admitted to hospital

Hubli, Nov 6 (UNI) A 70-year-old Mariyamma, who earlier announced to have 'Ichha Marana' (attaining death wish) at 11 am yesterday, the Gouri Hunnime day (full moon day), has landed in a hospital.

The woman, who was on 'Mouna Vrita' for the past few years, recently announced that she would die at 11 am yesterday at Chinchali village in Gadag district.

As a result, thousands of people from surrounding villages thronged Chinchali village to see the event. But nothing happened.

The two doctors, who checked her at a primary health centre, said she was okay both physically and mentally.

However, the police have persuaded her to remain in the hospital for the time being.
