Hindustan Dorr, China Aluminium secure Rs 200cr Vedanta contract

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Hindustan Dorr Oliver Ltd, alongwith China Aluminium International Engineering Corporation Ltd, today received a Rs 200 crore order from Vedanta Alumina Ltd for the fume treatment Plant in Orissa.

The project is to be executed within 20 months.

The company said that it has also got an order from Reliance for the fuel gas desulphurisation plant at its 2x250 mw coal-filed thermal units at Dahanu, Maharashtra.

It reported a 615 per cent surge in net profit at Rs 5.44 crore for the the half year ended September 30 2006, as compared to Rs 0.76 crore for the same period during the previous financial year.

The company has earlier announced that it is in talks with global giants in the areas of mining and solid liquid separation technologies in which there are lot of potential globally.
