Governor to preside award ceremony of 'Indradhanushya'

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of Universities in the State S M Krishna will preside over the awards ceremony of 'Indradhanushya,' the fourth Maharashtra State Inter University Youth Festival being organised by the University of Mumbai here tomorrow.

This year Indradhanushya is being hosted by the Chikitsak Samuha Patkar Varde College, Goregaon in north Mumbai. This is also the Centenary year of the Chikitsak Samuha and the sesqui-centenary year of the University of Mumbai. Over 800 artists from 19 universities in Maharashtra are participating in the four day festival in various events like music, dance, fine arts, literature and theatre.

Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Member of the Planning Commission of India Dr Bhalchandra Mungekar, Ministers Ashok Chavan, Dilip Walse-Patil, Anees Ahmed, Dr Vimal Mundada, Suresh Shetty, Rana Jagjit Singh Patil, Mayor Datta Dalvi and Dr Dayanand Dongaonkar will attend the concluding function of the event.
