Ghuwara takes oath as MLA

Bhopal, Nov 6 (UNI) Newly-elected BJP MLA from Malehra, Kapoor Chand Ghuwara, was today sworn in as member of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.

He was administered the oath of office by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani in the Assembly soon after the proceedings began in the House.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi and other members of the House felicitated Mr Ghuwara after he took the oath.

Mr Ghuwara had defeated Bharatiya Jan Shakti rival Rekha Yadav by over 4,000 seats in the byelectioons to Malehra, which fell vacant due to the resignation of former chief minister Uma Bharti following her expulsion from the BJP.
