Copper, nickel down on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Copper and nickel suffered a setback on poor industrial demand while brass utensils and zinc slab ruled better on reduced stock supply.
In london Metal Exchange, copper was up while nickel was down, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,000, copper utensils - Rs 32,400, brass utensils - Rs 23,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,200 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,600.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,100, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, zinc slab - Rs 23,000, lead ingots - Rs 7,850, tin slab - Rs 575 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,875 (per kg).
