Contempt against Chief Minister dismissed:

Kochi, Nov 6 (UNI) A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today dismissed a contempt petition filed against Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan.

The petition was filed by one Tharian Joseph from Kochi in 1999 when the Left Democratic Front (LDF) organised a hartal in the state.

The petition was dismissed by the Bench comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice P R Raman on the reason that the matter had already come up before the Supreme Court and it had found no contempt in it.
