Centre yet to release funds for OBC action plan
Bhopal, Nov 6 (UNI) The government today told the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that the National Backward Class Finance and Development Corporation was yet to release funds for the Rs 5 crore Action Plan sanctioned for the state this year.
Backward Class and Minorities Welfare Minister Rustam Singh, while replying to a call attention notice moved by Mr Giriraj Mandloi(BJP), said the Madhya Pradesh Backward and Minorities Finance and Development Corporation had prepared a list of all loan applicants and loans would be released on the availability of funds.
At present, there was no fund with the corporation to release loans to 10 applicants from Sehore district for starting dairy, he said.
Mr Singh admitted that the District Panchayat also forwarded the applications for loan to start self-employment venture.
The Minister said the State Corporation's Board of Directors was scheduled to meet tomorrow and the National Corporation's representative was likely to attend it.
