BSNL alleges pvt providers for locking signals
Aizawl, Nov 6: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) here today alleged that a private service provider has "locked" signals to Cell One subscribers.
BSNL officials informed today that ''the private provider has blocked us from sending signals in the system to the private provider's subscribers.'' ''We have warned the company to make necessary amendments expeditiously or else the contract would be cancelled,'' they said.
The officials also underlined that a complaint letter has already been sent to TRAI for immediate intervention.
Commenting on the issue, BSNL General Manager Subbarao said, ''It might be the marketing tactics of the company and we are no way responsible for their poor service.'' The private company had launched its mobile operations in the state with a subscriber base of just over 10,000 in July.
