BJP agitators demand slashing of fuel price hike
Chennai, Nov 6 (UNI) BJP volunteers led by party State General Secretary Thamilisai Soundararajan today staged a demonstration in two different places in the city, protesting against the Centre's failure to rollback fuel price hike despite considerable reduction in the international market.
Speaking on the occasion she criticised the Centre's inability to sort out the price hike issue, which severely affected the poor and the middle class.
She warned that if the Centre did not take steps towards slashing prices, the party would intensify its stir.
According to party sources, similar demonstrations were held in all district headquarters and important cities in the state.
Apart from demonstrations, the party workers distributed pamphlets to create awareness among the people about the Centre's failure.
