Belgium Prime Minister leaves for Mumbai
Bangalore, Nov 6 (UNI) Belgium Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt this evening left for Mumbai after paying a two-day visit to the city.
The visiting dignitary, who arrived here yesterday accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Didier Reynders and a high-level business delegation, was seen off by senior civil and police officials at the airport.
During the visit, the Prime Minister witnessed the signing of MoU between SemIndia, founded to manufacture advanced semiconductors in India, and IMEC, a world class semiconductor R and D institute from Belgium, and visited the campuses of the Indian Institute of Science and IT major Infosys.
He also participated in a trade seminar organised by the BCIC on 'Invest Belgium - Increase Your Profit', besides meeting Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
