Archies Q2 net grows 11.58 pc

Mumbai, Nov 6 (UNI) Archies Ltd, a leading gifts and greeting cards company, has posted a 11.58 per cent growth in the net profits for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, at Rs 2.44 crore as against Rs 2.19 crore in the comparable quarter last fiscal.

The company said its total income for the quarter rose 26.22 per cent to Rs 26.46 crore compared to the corresponding quarter, a year ago. During this period, total income of the company jumped 25.54 per cent to Rs 26.51 crore from the similar quarter of last year at Rs 21.11 crore.

During the half-year ended September 2006, the company earned a profit of Rs 3.57 crore on the net sales of Rs 44.28 crore. Its revenue from the gifts segment during the same period were Rs 23.69 crore, while the greeting cards business generated a revenue of Rs 15.08 crore.
