Ajmer Dargah condemns death sentence to Saddam

Ajmer, Nov 6 (UNI) Ajmer Dargah today strongly condemned the death sentence awarded to deposed Iraq president Saddam Hussain.

Ajmer Dargah Diwan and the descendant of the world famous Sufi saint Khwaja Moinnuddin Chisti, Dargah Khadim S F Hassan Chisti and Sayed Janual Obedin Ali termed the verdict as ''anti Muslim and illegal''.

Dargah Khadim S F Hassan Chisti said, ''It was part of an American conspiracy to intimidate the Muslim world in order to continue its hegemony in the world.'' ''America has always been anti-Muslim and President George Bush attacked Iraq to camouflage his failures both at the domestic and international levels,'' he added.

Dargah Diwan Obedin Ali said, ''Iraq is an Islamic country and Saddam Hussain had acted against insurgents and separatists of the country according to the Islamic law of the land.'' UNI PJJ HS BS1939
