73 tribal Christians reconverted to Hinduism
Rourkela, Nov 6 (UNI) Nearly 73 tribals from 17 families have been reconverted to Hinduism yesterday at a ceremony at Telighana under Kutra block organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP).
VHP sources said 46 men and 27 women, who had embraced Christianity, adopted Hinduism in the ceremony.
Each of them was provided with a locket bearing the photograph of Hindu deities and new clothes by the VHP activists belonging to Kutra Block Dharma Prasar Unit.
The function was attended by among others VHP state organising secretary, Achuta Nanda Kar, state organising secretary (western range) Makara Dhwaja Mahato and VHP state treasurer Gadadhar Sahu.
