UPA government a failed on all fronts: Advani

Jodhpur, Nov 5 (UNI) Former Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani today alleged that the UPA government under Prime Minsiter Manmohan Singh was a failure on all fronts ''Whether it was checking price rises or internal security, the government had failed miserably,'' he told mediapersons here after inaugurating a mid-day meal programme here today with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

''The people were reeling under an unprecedented price rise but the government seems to be not bothered about it. It has not initiated any steps to control inflation,'' he said, adding internal security is another matter of concern with many states facing violence.

Mr Advani said with the government not coming to the rescue of the farmers who were neck-deep in debt, the poor agriculturists were forced to take the extreme step of suicide.

The BJP-ruled states have been setting an example of good governance and emphasis accorded for education and health sector, he said, adding the party would organise a seminar in Mumbai on November 10-11 to prepare an action plan for strengthening the party's organisation.
