Uma Bharti rules out joining BJP
Patna, Nov 5: Bhartiya Janshakti Party president Uma Bharti today ruled out her return to her former party and alleged the BJP's stalwarts A B Vajpayee and L K Advani were encircled by power brokers.
After concluding the campaign for her party candidate from Bhagalpur parliamentary constituency, the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister told a news conference here that BJP no longer remained a single entity and the party was divided into parallel factions, devotees of Rama and power crazy politicians.
"Even after maintaining their identity with BJP, the section classified as true Rama devotees with commitment to the cause is still with us ideologically'', she claimed.
Making an oblique reference to Mr Advani's controversial assessment about Mahammad Ali Jinnah, Ms Bharti said that the people still wanted to know when Mr Advani would join 'Rambhaktas' parting company of Jinnah followers.
BJP president Rajnath Singh had been patronising politicians indulged in crime and corruption, she alleged.
The once firebrand lady in BJP lambasted Nitish Kumar for his alleged failure to lead the state along the path of progress and development.
