Jammu: Two Pakistani militants killed in Doda
Jammu, Nov 5: Two Pakistani militants of Lashkar-e Toiba (LeT) were today gunned down by the troops in the upper reaches of Thathri in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
On a tip-off, troops of 26 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Task Force (STF) of state police laid an ambush in the hilly forest area under Phagsoo police station and killed two militants early this morning, Senior Superintendent of Police (Doda) Manohar Singh told sources.
The militants were identified as Mohammad Ahmed, alias Abu Furkan, and Mohammad Irfan, alias Abu Abdulla, both residents of Pakistan, he said.
One AK magazine, three grenades, one RPG, two wireless sets and two pouches were seized.
The search operation in the area was still on, the SSP added.
