Three students drown in Nandira rivulet
Angul, Nov 5 (UNI) Three students drowned while taking a bath in the Nandira rivulet, about 8 km from the Nalco township, yesterday.
Police said four boys went to the rivulet to have a bath after finishing their tuition in the Nalco township area. Three of them went to the river, situated on the down stream of the Nalco ash pond to bath but slipped into the strong current of the rivulet.
The bodies were later retrieved by the police and sent for post mortem.
While one of them identified as Subrat Amat of local college student, the others two - Parmeswar Das and Bishnu Prasad Sahu - were students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir.
