Target to administer pulse polio to one crore children
Bhopal, Nov 5 (UNI) Pulse polio drops will be administered to nearly one crore children, up to five years of age, in Madhya Pradesh on November 12.
Official sources said comprehensive arrangements had been made in this regard.
After administering pulse polio drops to children on November 12, remaining children will be administered pulse polio drops on November 13-14 at their homes.
As many as 383 polio cases were detected in the country this year. Of this, two cases were found in Madhya Pradesh which include one case each in Chhatarpur and Bhind districts adjoining Uttar Pradesh.
The administration has set up 62,991 polio booths besides 2,248 transit booths and 1,778 mobile teams. In order to make the campaign successful, 9,886 supervisor and 1,61,817 workers had been appointed. The state control room had set up an IEC bureau for communication related to the campaign.
