Stern action should be taken for security lapse: Muraleedharan

Kochi, Nov 5 (UNI) Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) leader K Muraleedharan today demanded stern action against police officials responsible for the security lapse during the recent visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the state.

After inaugurating the reception committee office for the scheduled merger of DIC (K) with the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Mr Muraleedharan said it was a serious lapse and those responsible should be dealt with severely.

The DIC(K)-NCP merger would be on November 12 here.

DIC(K) leaders M P Gangadharan, R Venugopal, Ibrahim Kutty and M V Mani among others were present on the occasion.
