SIM cards, drugs and currency notes found in Nabha jail
Patiala, Nov 5 (UNI) The Jail authorities here have recovered nine SIM cards, opium and capsules from the possession of the inmates of the maximum security Nabha jail, where a number of terrorists are lodged.
The recoveries were made by special search teams formed by the jail authorities, according to police sources here today.
A case under several sections of the NDPS Act was registered against three inmates of the jail. So far a case was yet to be registered against those from whom SIM cards and currency notes were found.
Besides nine SIM cards, the authorities recovered 530 grams of opium, around 200 capsules and currency notes amounting to Rs 15,000.
Those booked for possessing drugs and capsules include Harnek Singh of Ropar, Sukhwinder Singh of Khanna and Jasbir Singh of Phagan Majra village in Patiala district.
