Sealing: CAIT threatens to 'cripple' govt

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Leading trade leaders from all over the country today extended their support to the traders in the city in their anti-sealing agitation and warned that they would ''cripple the government'' if the ongoing sealing drive was not stopped at the earliest.

In a statement issued here, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said the ongoing sealing drive in the city will cause mass scale unemployment and will force the traders to ''live the life of beggars''.

Extending their moral support to the agitating traders, the trade leaders from different states said they would organise a 'Bharat Bandh' if the sealing drive was not stopped.

The trade leaders appealed to the judiciary and the government not to interfere or stop the trading activities in the city, the press release further stated.
