Reliance to open Reliance Fresh, Reliance Plus
Ranchi, Nov 5: After Telecommunication and Petroleum products, now it is the turn of green vegetables to be sold by the Reliance India Industries (RII) in Jharkhand.
RII owned by Mr Mukesh Ambani has planned to open 50 such retail outlets in the coming months in Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur.
The retail stores named as 'Reliance Plus' and 'Reliance Fresh' would deal with fruits, vegetables and dairy products.
Highly placed sources in the company said that more than Rs five crore would be spent for this project adding it would also provide employment opportunity for the locals at minor level.
Sources said the purchasing of fruits, vegetables and other items for the outlets would be done through the local market.
The company has planned to open about four thousand retail outlets throughout the country by spending Rs 25,000 crores.
The first outlet of Reliance Fresh was inaugurated in Hyderabad on October 30.
