One more arrested in Malegaon blast case
Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) One more suspect in the Malegaon blasts case has been arrested by the elite Anti-Terrorist Squad(ATS) of the city police and booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act ((MCOCA).
Raees Ahmed, arrested yesterday, was produced before MCOCA court judge Mrudula Bhatkar who remanded him in ATS custody till November 16.
The ATS has already arrested Noorul Huda Samsudoha (23) and Shabbir Ahmed Masiullah (36) in the case they are too in police custody till November 16.
Police had first arrested Noorul Huda on October 8 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, while Masiullah was arrested on November 2. Both of them were subsequently booked under MCOCA on November 3.
Masiullah has allegedly undergone arms training in Pakistan and has received skills in handling sophisticated arms and ammunition, and explosives.
On September 8, three blasts had occurred in and around a mosque at Malegaon in Nasik district which had left 25 dead besides injuring over 240 others.
