Naxal shot dead in police encounter

Jagdalpur, Nov 5 (UNI) A naxal has been killed in a police encounter near Satdhar area at Bailadila road in Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district, police said today.

Maharashtra's Pidmiri village-resident Suresh Uike was shot dead in the encounter last night. His body has been found.

Police claimed that 2-3 ultras were injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, an intensive patrol was being carried out in view of suspicion that extremists will carry out damage to railway lines.
