Nagaland Cong. demands Rio's resignation
Kohima, Nov 5 (UNI) Taking serious note of the ''failure'' of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) on the law and order front in the state, the Congress has demanded immediate resignation of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Congress Legislature Party (CLP) secretary K V Pusa here today said besides Congress, many members of the ruling DAN have lost confidence in the govermment.
'' Mr Rio is responsible for the present fiasco in the state and should resign immediately,'' he said.
He appreciated DAN chairman Hokishe Sema and his colleagues for their concern for the people, whose lives were under threat due to the present state of affairs.
Mr Pusa demanded that Mr Rio should step down and make way for capable people to run the government.
