Nagaland Congress demands Rio's resignation
Kohima, Nov 05: Taking serious note on the failure of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) to contain the law and order in the state, Congress has demanded immediate resignation of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Congress Legislature Party (CLP) secretary K V Pusa here today said besides Congress, many members of the ruling DAN have lost confidence in the govermment.
He said, '' Mr Rio is responsible for the present fiasco in the state and should resign immediately.'' Mr Pusa pointed out that there was no ground for Mr Rio and his cronies to run the state.
He appreciated DAN chairman Hokishe Sema and his colleagues for their concern for the people, whose lives were under threat due to the present state of affairs.
Mr Pusa demanded that Rio should step down and make way for capable people to run the government, he said.
