MPs pay tributes to Chittaranjan Das

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Parliamentarians today remembered Deshbhandhu Chittaranjan Das on his 136th birth anniversary as a great nationalist, an idealist and harbinger of the revolutionary movement in the country.

Floral tributes were paid to his portrait in the Central Hall of Parliament House.

Those who paid their homage included Union Ministers Pranab Mukherjee and Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.

Lok Sabha Secretary-Genreal P D T Achary also paid floral tributes.

The portratit was unveiled in the Central Hall on September 12, 1958 by then President Rajendra Prasad.
