Haryana police recovers laptops from a gang of thieves
Gurgaon, Nov 5 (UNI) The Haryana Police has succeeded in recovering a large number of laptop computers, after arresting three members of a gang from Gurgaon who were involved in the theft of laptops.
Stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the police received several complaints of thefts of laptops in Gurgaon city. Inquiries from the arrested gang members Kamlesh, Darshan and Tribhuwan of Delhi revealed that the gang had been active in stealing laptops for last many years.
On the modus-operandi of the gang, he said that the accused used to steal laptops lying in vehicles parked in the parking areas of the city, after opening the vehicles with a set of duplicate keys.
Further investigations revealed the names of three more members of the gang. Two of them, Alok and Monti are residents of Jammu and the third, Kulbir Singh of Delhi. The three are still absconding.
The spokesman said that eleven laptops, which were stolen from DLF Gurgaon had been recovered from the arrested accused and they had also confessed to stealing another 18-19 laptops.
