Four rain-related deaths near Silvassa

Silvassa, Nov 5 (UNI) Four rain-related deaths were today reported near Silvassa after heavy rains lashed the Union Territory this afternoon.

While three died due to electrocution, another was killed in an accident.

Two labourers of Apaar Industries -- Pradeep Nalge (19) and Rupesh Phorat -- were electrocuted inside the factory premises about five kms from here.

In another incident, Prabir Mohnakar died following a lightning strike in Bonta village, about 18 kms away from here.

A fourth person, identified only as Dinkar, died when the truck in which he was travelling dashed against an electric pole at Dok Mardi village near here.
