External Belgium Prime Minister arrives in Bangalore

Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) Belgium Prime Minsiter Guy Verhofstadt arrived for a two-day visit to the city this evening.

The visiting Prime Minsiter, accompanied by a high level business delegation, was received by the Karnataka Industry Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu and other senior civil and police officers of the state at the airport.

The visiting Belgium Prime Minister would witness the signing of MOU between SemiIndia founded to manufacture advanced semiconductors in India and IMEC a world-class semiconductor R&D institute from Belgium today.

Mr Verhofstadt will also meet Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi tonight and also visit Indian Institute of Science campus tomorrow.
