Elecon Engg wins Rs 23 crore supply-order

New Delhi, Nov 5: Gujarat-based Elecon Engineering Co Ltd has secured an order worth Rs 23 crore from Tecpro Systems Ltd for supply of coal handling plant equipments.

The items to be supplied include wagon tipplers, stacker reclaimer, apron feeders, crushing system, gears and other components for 2 x 250 MW Thermal Power Station Project to be set up by Tecpro Systems in Rajasthan.

In October, Elecon was awarded an order of Rs 70.19 crore from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supplying, erectioning and commissioning of wagon tippler package for Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Project.

The company recorded 183 per cent rise in net profit, which stood at Rs 16.27 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006, as against Rs 5.75 crore for the corresponding period previous year.
