Congress to undertake march to Assembly

Kolkata, Nov 5 (UNI) Protesting the 'deteriorating' health situation and acquisition of farmland in West Bengal, the Congress will organise a 'March to Assembly' on November 22.

''We have decided to take out a 'March to Assembly' on that day in protest against the infant deaths, blood diagnostic kit scam and acquisition of farmland for industry. We also demand resignation of Health Minister Suryakanta Mishra, '' Pradesh Congress Working President Pradip Bhattacharjee today said.

The state Assembly commences on November 17 for a brief session till November 30.

Mr Bhattacharjee said the protest march would be preceded by a demonstration programme on the issues on November 16 when party workers would agitate in front of the offices of Sub-Divisional Officers in the state.

He said the party would continue its movement till the Health Minister resigned.
