Bharti Teletech launches phone equipped with GSM SIM reader
New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Bharti Teletech, fixed line phones manufacturing wing of Bharti Enterprises, has launched GSM SIM reader equipped phone, which will enable customers to copy the numbers stored in the SIM of their mobile phones directly to their telephone phonebook.
The company introduced 'Trend' following increased demand from fixed line customers for mobile phone features on their fixed line instruments and is currently supplying it to Airtel.
''The fixed line phone instruments market is undergoing a transformation with customers increasingly demanding more from their fixed-line phones. Trend was introduced keeping in mind the customer demand for replicating the mobile experience on fixed-line phones,'' Bharti Teletech Vice-Chairman and MD Rakesh Bharti Mittal said.
Trend enables customers to copy a total of 250 numbers stored in the SIM of their mobile phones directly to their telephone phonebook. By storing the numbers in the telephone's phonebook, the SIM Card reader also provides a handy backup to the SIM card phonebook data.
Priced at Rs 1,275, Trend is equipped with a host of other features such as Auto Add "0" or "95" to facilitate call back of long distance numbers, gold plated keypad contacts for a longer life and an anti-line tapping facility that prevents misuse of the telephone by parallel phone users.
