Belgium PM visits Mamallapuram

Chennai, Nov 5 (UNI) Belgium Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt today visited the historic five radhas and sea shore temple built by 'Pallavas' at Mamallapuram near here.

Mr Verhofstadt spend over 30 minutes at the historic site and later visited Dhakshina Chitra, a private academy where age-old cultural artifacts were preserved.

Later, talking to newspersons Mr Verhofstadt said he had a keen interest to know more about the varied culture of South India.

After spending some time watching the traditional dance forms like ''Karakattam'' and ''Oyillattam'', Mr Verhofstadt left for Bangalore by a special aircraft.
