Seema Khan gets support at Lakme Fashion Week

Mumbai, Nov 3: The entire Khan clan turned up in full attendence at Lakme Fashion Week today where Seema Khan showcased her collection comprising of six new lines on the fourth day at NCPA.

Prominent among those who attended included Seema's husband actor/director Sohail Khan, Arbaz Khan, Salman Khan, Helen, Salma Khan, while Malaika Arora Khan, wife of Arbaz Khan, walked the ramp in Seema's creation.

Her first line consisted of damask floral black prints with ribbons followed by wool edging and detailing on beige and khaki muls in second line, summery floral mul dresses in various cuts and colours in third line, while the fourth line was primary resort wear with prints of waves in mul fabric with embroidered belts and multi-coloured beads and hand painted stones. The fifth line was a camouflage line in orange and green stripes in multi colors and the last line consisted of pretty pastel lemon shaded dresses with Swarovski crystal belts.

Seema who draws inspiration from people, art, nature or even jewellery said, ''I design depending on the wearer's personality. I believe that a woman should wear the clothes and not the other way round.'' She further says, ''My designs are aimed at making people feel comfortable and good about themselves. And when I design, its either the embroidery or the design that takes precedence, rarely both. I am also very particular about the cut, fitting and finish of the garment.'' To sum it all Seema says, ''its all about your flair for design. You either have it or you don't- its not something you can learn.'' Seema has designed all of Malaika Arora Khan's outfits for the Nach Baliye show running on Star One.

Also present at Seema's show were Suchitra Pillai, Rhea Pillai, socialite Sharmila Khanna, model Ashish Choudhury with wife, Queenie Dhody and Sonali Bendre.
