Rupee opens flat at 44.89/91 per USD

Mumbai, Nov 3: The Indian rupee today opened steady at Rs 44.89/91 per US dollar compared to it's previous close of Rs 44.8950/9050 per USD, a money market trader said.

Later, the rupee shot up to Rs 44.84/85 per USD, and is now trading high at Rs 44.85/86 per USD due to increase in selling pressure by banks, forex dealers said.
